Business Continuity Statement regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Customers and partners of China Telecom Europe Ltd. (CTE) can feel assured that we are continuing to monitor the situation caused by the spread of COVID-19. We are fully prepared to minimise potential disruption to our network or operations.
We are following the COVID-19 situation hour-by-hour and taking action in line with our well-established incident and crisis management routines, both locally and globally. Our business continuity plans (BCPs) ensure we can manage effectively during exceptional events that might otherwise disrupt our normal service. The global coverage of our NOCs and our network are helping us to continue to meet our customers’ demands. In addition, we have introduced precautionary measures in all of our locations around the world to protect our employees, customers and partners as well as the wider communities where we work.
Our business continuity plans are founded on solid experience and high standards:
- Our experienced BCP and Health & Safety teams are monitoring and managing the situation as it evolves.
- Our global network and all our operational centres around the world also have strong and well-tested continuity plans.
- Our regional offices are set up with remote working capabilities and all staff are equipped to stay productive and connected while working from home.
- We are working closely with our critical supply chain to manage any potential impact.
The BCPs are responsive to specific local situations and conditions, and cover our offices, Points of Presence (POPs) and other infrastructure elements. Based on our analysis, we don’t anticipate any significant disruptions to our operation as a result of COVID-19.
We will continue to monitor the situation as part of our comprehensive business continuity approach. Should it change, we will act immediately to minimise service disruptions and inform our customers.
As a global telecom provider, our main objective is to guarantee the integrity of our entire network ecosystem. As such, we are working continuously to manage local or regional variations to the global response within the scope of our overall crisis management plan.
