China Telecom (Europe) Ltd (CTE) is one of the UK-based MVNOs whose customers will benefit from some of telecom’s latest innovations, as Transatel (a technical sub-contractor) and BT renew their 12 year-old MVNO agreement.
The deal will bring Wi-Fi Calling, Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE), and ultrafast 5G based data (mobile broadband) connectivity, via EE’s national mobile network, to CTE and its customers during 2021. CTE also hopes customers will soon gain access to the new suite of innovative voice, SMS, and data services that Transatel plan for their MVNO partners.
CTE customers will continue to enjoy connection through EE (part of the BT Group). EE offers the best coverage in the UK at close to 95% for 4G, (according to Opensignal) and is rated the best network performance for 4G and 5G (according to RootMetrics). And with EE’s 5G network live in over 100 areas across the UK, CTE customers will soon be experiencing all the enhancements that 5G offers.
Charlie Cao, Managing Director of CTE added: “In pursuit of our mission of ‘Customer First, Service Foremost’ we always seek to provide the latest technology and the best service for our customers. We welcome this renewed agreement and the high-quality services that it will allow us to launch.”
