Free access to NHS Covid-19 information, even if customers are out of credit

China Telecom CTExcel users won’t be charged for data they use to access the NHS COVID-19 apps and NHS websites

The pandemic situation in Europe remains serious. Many people rely on easy and speedy access to relevant and up-to-date information on the pandemic. Now, customers of China Telecom’s CTExcel mobile phone cards can find the latest information from the UK National Health Service (NHS) completely free. When they visit NHS online services and the NHS COVID-19 apps they won’t be charged for data use, even if they have already exhausted their mobile data allowance (zero-rating).

The NHS COVID-19 apps are a tracking and protection service for people in the UK (there are separate apps for England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).
